BLOOM is the hanging light installation that is a part of the Spirit of Nature installation at ArtPrize 2024.
 
This design features hand formed porcelain petals rimmed with gold, suspended in a cascade from a golden canopy. 
 
As a maker and designer, I am fascinated by the beauty of the natural world. This chandelier is inspired by the way light sifts through trees, the soft glow of string lights on a summer's eve, and the delicate bloom of flowers. 
 
Each pendant is formed by hand, making no two alike. Glazed with a glossy interior and a brushed matte exterior, the edge of each petal is lined with 14k gold luster. 
 
The transluscent properties of porcelain allow the soft light of the bulb to shine through, highlighting the handmade marks in the clay. This installation is finished with brushed brass hardware, glossy cream cording, and a golden canopy.

The length of chandelier is adjustable upon installation, shown here at approximately 7ft in length. It is crafted using all UL listed hardware, and can be hardwired or plugged in. It is not grounded.
