Spirit of Nature invites you into a moment of awe and whimsy, curiosity and delight. Handcrafted from porcelain, this sculpture is an exploration into the ways that we are intrinsically a part of the natural world.
 
Laced with flora and fungi and accented with gold luster, the feminine figure merges with the ecological environment. A golden sparrow and her nest of three eggs harkens to the spirit of life that animates all beings. Illuminated from within, Spirit of Nature invites us to find the beauty of our natural world and our intrinsic connection to the landscape around us.
 
The Bloom pendant lights that cascade above the piece were created with grace, reverence, and beauty in mind. Each petal is hand-formed from transluscent clay and finished with a delicate line of gold.
 
Niikah comes from the Northwoods of Michigan, where her reverence for the natural world deeply impacts the way she approaches her designs and artistic process. She is the owner of Niik Creative Co., a porcelain ceramic studio on the shores of Lake Superior that specializes in handcrafted lighting and home goods.
